1 Piece of news:

Phoenix Open

On Sunday, the Phoenix Open concluded with a surprising twist of events.

Following consecutive rounds of 64, Charley Hoffman briefly held the title of clubhouse champion until the 35-year-old Canadian, Nick Taylor, birdied the 15th, 16th, and 18th holes to shoot a remarkable 65 in the final round, forcing a playoff between him and Charley (noteworthy is his outstanding 60 on the first day).

While our collective cheers were mainly for our old friend Hoffman, Nick proceeded to birdie the 18th hole once more (just like Charley). Subsequently, he achieved another birdie on the 18th that surpassed Hoffman's par. This meant back-to-back-to-back birdies on the 18th for Nick, an impressive feat, although a touch of luck played a role, considering that on two of those occasions, his initial shot landed in a bunker but fortuitously bounced away.

Tiger coming back and his new apparel brand

Tiger Woods is making a comeback to golf at the upcoming Genesis Invitational, marking his first full-field event since the 2023 Masters. Having spent the majority of 2023 recovering from long-term injuries, Woods withdrew from the 2023 Masters and did not participate in the remaining majors. Despite his absence, he expressed his intention to play in about one tournament per month, starting with the Genesis, with hopes of participating in The Players Championship and the Arnold Palmer Invitational in the following months, gearing up for the Masters and the rest of the major season.

And that is not all, he Yesterday announced the launch of his new apparel together with Taylormade called “Sun Day Red” with a Tiger-looking logo, this can be an important break in his career and something else to focus on in the future. Needless to say, I will be one of the first guys buying a Sun Day Red polo once they are out for sale, which will initially be available online starting May.

1 piece of advice:

This is a different advice but an advice overall.

Lately, I've been working on managing my game to save strokes, and I gotta say, my buddy Adam at "Not a Scratch Golfer" on YouTube knows his stuff. Check out his videos, watch his swing, follow his advice, and you'll definitely cut down on your strokes on the golf course. It's mostly about playing smart and avoiding risky shots.

Some extra information to keep in mind

Can anyone play Riviera Golf Course: No, only members

How can I play it: By becoming a member (quite hard), by getting an invite from a member, or by buying a charity sponsorship that’s around $4,500

How much is it: If you manage to get an invitation, the green fee will cost you $350

1 piece of equipment:

Just got my hands on the new Titleist TSR3 driver equipped with the Hazardous 6.0 shaft, and I've got to say, it's a game-changer. No sponsorship here, just pure excitement about the performance. The extra distance off the tee is undeniable, and the precision with the Hazardous 6.0 shaft is making a noticeable difference. Fewer misses, longer drives, and an improved overall sensation during the swing—it's like unlocking a new level of confidence on the course. Definitely a solid investment for any golfer looking to up their game.
